Pentode SE Power Amp Kit TU-8400, with 2 operation modes of HIGH and LOW modes enabled by Active Automatic Bias adjustment system inherited from its former model TU-8200R, allows various types of tubes. In HIGH mode, 6L6 series, KT88, KT90, EL34(6CA7), etc. can be used as well as KT120, KT150, and KT170, enabled by the power transformer with high current capacity. In LOW mode, 6V6, 6F6, etc, can also be used. (TUBES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE KIT.)

This amplifier is basically designed to be used in conjunction with a preamplifier. However, as an OPamp is built-in the INPUT2, a music player with low power can also be used by connecting directly to INPUT-2.
■ Select from 3 connection modes
Users can choose from 3 operation modes, Ultra-linear(UL) mode, Pentode mode, and Triode mode, just by chancing a jumper location on the PCB behind the front panel.
■ Headphone jack and gain switching jumpers
A headphone jack is equipped at the front panel, and users can select a sound volume level according to a headphone to be used just by changing a jumper location.

■ Ample space for larger coupling capacitors
There is ample space for a larger coupling capacitors for exchange. The maximum size of the capacitor that fits in the space is 20mm in diameter and 36mm in length, and the required capacitor specifications are higher than 0.1uF and 400V.
