TU-8450 Tube Preamp Kit is a vacuum tube preamp kit embedded with a phono equalizer necessary for playing vinyl records. The amp is full of features which bring out the flavor of vinyl records and enrich your life with music.
* Tubes are included in this model. For those who do not need tubes, please refer to TU-8450N, a version without tubes.

■A CR-type RIAA equalizer circuit for straight-forward and smooth sound quality
A CR equalizer with an OPamp is adopted. 2068DD OPamp installed to the IC sockets, so that you can explore the sound differences by exchanging these OPamps to other models.
The preamp supports both MM and MC cartridges.

■Flat amplifier stage consisting of 12AU7
12AU7 tubes are adopted for the line amp stage so that you can enjoy sound difference by rolling 12AU7 tubes of various makers.
For those who already possess12AU7, there is a tube-less version TU-8450N.
　　

■REC-OUT terminal
The signal selected by the input selector is output from REC-OUT. This function is useful when you connect the preamp to a recording device or when you use an external amplifier.

■Ample space for a larger coupling capacitor
In TU-8450/N, non-inductive polypropylene film capacitors covering high frequencies are adopted. Meanwhile, ample space is provided in the TU-8450 PCB, which allows the larger size capacitors for exchange.
For exchange, select a capacitor whose rated voltage is higher than 200V and a capacitance value of 0.47uF, and the maximum size 36mm in length and 20mm in diameter.
